How to do Ujjayi Pranayama?

To do this Ujjayi Pranayama, it is better to sit in Padmasana or Sukhasana. If you have trouble sitting with your knees bent, sit in a comfortable position.

Method: –

  • Sit in the position of Padmasana or Sukhasana.
  • Keep both the hands on the knees, in Gyan Mudra or in a comfortable position.
  • Keep the spine straight.
  • Close your eyes softly.
  • Bend the tongue backwards.
  • Tilt the neck forward and apply the chin to the groin.
  • Breathe in with a low snoring sound from a blocked throat and exhale while snoring.
  • Focus the attention on the throat.
  • Come back after completing four to five repetitions. Normalize the tongue. Straighten the neck.
  • Lightly caress the throat with your hands. Normalize breathing.

Benefits of Ujjayi Pranayama.
